Greetings from Planet E-arth.
I just saw Disney's Lilo & Stitch. It was an awesome movie! I was crying with laughter and sadness throughout the whole film.
The movie does a good job with character development. I felt like I knew Lilo, Stitch and Nani. So when Experiment 626, aka Stitch, first lands in Hawaii, you see that his badness level is "pretty high for someone so small." Then you see how he grows and changes throughout the movie. Same for Lilo. You see how she sees herself in Stitch. At one point in the movie, she even says that she understands why Stitch is so bad because he doesn't have a family. She understands because she's lost her parents in a car accident.
The movie also has some hilarious moments like when Stitch "becomes" Elvis, whom Lilo believes to be a "model citizen," and begins playing his ukelele on the beach in front of a bunch of tourists. Some other funny moments include Lilo's explaination of why she was late to hula practice because she had to feed a peanut butter sandwich to a fish that she belives controls the weather.
There was also endearing moments like when Stitch attempts to rescue Lilo using an active volcano and a gas tanker to help. I think that the most touching part is when Stitch looks at the picture of the Ugly Duckling with his family. Then Jumba, the mad scientist, says, "You have no family. I created you." It just broke my heart to see the pain in his eyes.
This movie was wonderful. It teaches everyone that O'hana (the Hawaiian word for "family") means everything. Even if your family may not be the tradional family, you should treasure it.
In conclusion, Lilo & Stitch is a must see for everyone.
