The Ulysses was designed by Whitmore Marine Industries, Inc. and built in secret at a high-security dockyard. Its most striking feature is the enormous "bathysphere" at the front. This glass sphere houses the three-level command bridge. The sphere cleverly adjusts so that the bridge stays level, whether the submarine is diving or climbing.
