"The Happiest Faces on Earth ... A Disney Family Album" is a series of 34 gigantic photo collages of classic Disney imagery comprised of thousands of small, individual photos submitted by guests over the past year. This image of Fantasmic is appropriately found near the banks of the Rivers of America.
Here is a close up shot of the collage above. Each individual image is color matched to create the overall illusion when seen from afar.
Buzz Lightyear can be found near the new Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster attraction. Because of its location near the top of the building, it is nearly impossible for guests to see the individual images that make up the collage.
Of course, a good zoom lens on one's camera can help see the smaller images. Part of the fun was supposed to be looking for your pictures that you submitted but the reality is that you'll probably have a hard time finding them in most of the collages.
One of the larger -- and more impressive -- collages is above the Club Buzz eatery. The images make up the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
In Critter Country, Winnie the Pooh floats above the creek while bees buzz around him.
A plaque near the Winnie the Pooh mobile tell that 1,834 images made up that particular collage.
Because this collage of "Mickey's Trailer" in Toontown is smaller and at eye level, the images that comprise it are much smaller as well. This is one that you can really examine up close.
Six thousand smaller pictures make up the larger image of "Mickey's Trailer."
