Tomorrow received a completely new paint job in an effort to shift the color scheme from brownish metallic colors to more cool whites and blues. Innoventions also received new banners showcasing past Tomorrowland attractions, such as the Flying Saucers and Adventure Thru Inner Space.
New murals were installed on the show building of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
And on the facade of Star Tours.
The long-empty submarine lagoon was recently drained and construction walls erected around it. During the 50th kick-off celebration, a new underwater adventure themed to Finding Nemo is expected to be announced.
With the water drained, much of the undersea displays can be seen to anyone riding the monorail or peeking through the tarp in place around the monorail station.
In Frontierland, the Mark Twain -- an original attraction from 1955 -- received the gold treatment, as well as the addition of a banner mentioning the Happiest Homecoming on Earth marketing.
