After first being unveiled by Mickey Mouse and Michael Eisner on Mickey's 75th Anniversary on November 18, 2003 at the Walt Disney World Resort and subsequently traveling the country with stops in Altanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Portland, the "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations" statues have made their way to the Disneyland Resort where they will be on display through February 22, 2005. The 75 uniquely designed, 700-pound, 6-foot-tall Mickeys were designed by Disney legends, artists, actors, athletes and performing artists who lent their creative talent or simply creative inspiration to the statues. The vast majority have taken up residence inside Disney's California Adventure while a few others can be found in Downtown Disney and the entrance plaza. After leaving the Disneyland Resort, the statues will travel to Washington D.C. and then to New York City to be auctioned by Sotheby's to raise money for the charity of each individual artist's choice. Please enjoy our latest Land View with more than 90 pictures from a visit to the Disneyland Resort January 15, 2005. Pages in this update:
