To the surprise -- and disappointment -- of many guests, the Haunted Mansion is closed to return to its original state after a season as the Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Tarps around the fencing hide the work though you can still catch a glimpse of the props in the Mansion's front yard, like the countdown clock propped against the hearse.

So that not too many of the holiday overlay attractions are down at the same time, it's a small world remained open with the Christmas theme. There was a pretty good-sized crowd enjoying the ride.

Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter was taking notes and sizing up the height of trees, light fixtures and other objects in the Central Plaza.
