Though not a new entertainment attraction, the Sword in the Stone ceremony added to the festiveness of the summer season. Merlin performed to large crowds, trying to find a new king of Fantasyland. The look on the little boy's face as he pulled the sword from the stone after a big, burly man failed was truly magical.

At Disney's California Adventure, the popular "Chance to Shine" street show provides musical laughs as three extras sing about their desire for a big break in the movies. Guest interaction helps to make this show a crowd pleaser as well.

Summer's biggest film, Finding Nemo, spawned a little processional through part of the Paradise Bay area complete with a walk-around Nemo.
