Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, the six-story, 400-room flagship hotel at the resort, recalls the romance and luxury of grand, Victorian-era hotels made famous in England, Europe and America. Along with meticulous accommodations, Disney's guest services 24 hours a day and Disney's world-famous attention to detail, guests also will find the Grand Salon for afternoon high tea, a Disney retail shop (Kingdom Gifts), scheduled recreational activities and themed, indoor and outdoor pools.
A cream-colored showplace accented by gabled, red-shingled roofs, towering turrets, balustrades, lace-like latticework, ornate scrollwork, turnposts and curved moldings typical of the Victorian era, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel also was inspired by sister hotels Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida) and Disneyland Hotel (Disneyland Paris).
Guestrooms feature curved moldings, armoires, granite-topped sinks and flat-screen televisions. Evocative of a bygone time, rooms are adorned in soft spring colors, light woods and printed wall coverings. Most rooms include two queen-sized beds.
Designed in the Art Deco style of architecture with whimsical Mickey Mouse-inspired motifs, Disney's Hollywood Hotel is an eight-story hotel features 600 guest rooms in a U-shaped building arranged around a central courtyard. The hotel's Hollywood theme will make every guest feel like a movie star as they immerse themselves in the history and glamour of motion pictures.
Details abound in the hotel with the movie and Art Deco motif reflected in everything from the light fixtures and carpets in the public areas of the hotel to the wall coverings and bedspreads in the guest rooms, creating a "Disney Deco" ambience. The moderately priced hotel also includes dining, shopping, a lounge, a swimming pool, and a garden that unfolds like a map of Los Angeles with popular and well-known Hollywood streets, landmarks and icons. A distinctly unique feature is its expansive lawns, which cover 21 acres and are available for guests to play on, picnic or simply relax.
Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre is a public park adjacent to Hong Kong Disneyland that includes Inspiration Lake, boat rentals, jogging trails, service centre and a 3.5-hectare arboretum.
Inspiration Lake officially opened to the public nearly a month before the rest of the resort on August 16, 2005.
