StartedByAMouse.com - Remembering ABC Soap Opera Bistro


The first set reached through either door from the foyer is the Nurses' Station from General Hospital. Towards the rear are three elevators guests can dine in and overhead are a variety of X-rays of some very interesting ailments that seemed to have befallen Imagineers.



Against the walls of the Nurses' Station is a variety of hospital props, including stretchers and crutches, to help further set the scene.



Here is one of the seating areas in the Nurses' Station. Notice that the seating looks like chairs one would find in an clerical setting. Seating throughout the restaurant were themed to the various sets.



Though designed to look like office furniture, the chairs were actually very comfortable for dining. These chairs have a similar design to the one in the above picture but are made to better fit the lower seating of this table.



This sign was found in one of the elevator "booths." Drs. Alan Quartermaine and Steve Hardy are characters from the actual soap opera. A nice homage.
